This version of the legendary ATC-X Quad is an updated, or how you say nowadays "pimped". One of the two oscillators has now a sinewave instead of the triangle. Another new feature is the possibility to choose between the Studio Electronics-Amp and the Moog-Amp, which boosts the sound enormously. The 4 real analogue and culty filters have been retained unchanged: Moog, SEM-Oberheim, Arp2600 and TB303.

The sixvoice variant of the Code brings you definitely more possibilities than the fourvoice unit but is way cheaper that the bigger full-blown brother with eight voices thus it is a good compromise. Of course also the Code6 can be upgraded with additional filter boards and if you want full polyphony you can add more voices as well.

The Code is Studio Electronics last development. It is based on the architecture of the Omega synth and is mainly intended for the use in studio and with sequencers, rather than for keyboard players. The Omega's arpeggiator has been left out and was replaced with the possibility of chaining several filters. Just like with the SE1X and the ATC, the first oscillator features a sine waveform. Finally an optional fuzz circuit can be added to the Code.
