Rate controls delay time in a range of 30-190ms. The Ic used (a PT2399) is being pushed into extreme teritiry by the rate control and once you turn the knob past 3 o'clock or so, the chip will stop operating and you'll only hear your dry signal. The CV input accepts -5V to +5V voltages (although the negative range is almost -7V)
Using an attenuator, polarizer or an offsete generator like the Doepfer A-183-2 before the rate CV input is recommended as the effect can be controleld much better this way.
Feedback goes up to oscillation, mix controls the effect amount.
The Synthrotek Echo is capable of generating beautiful, deep, ghostly and even metallic trashy sounds, especially when CV modulated.
