Technical data 46.9kHz sampling rate, 22kHz bandwith. AD- and DA converters work with linear PWM and 24Bit, although the RS390 workis with internally throughout with 16Bit.
The delay time can be set manually fron three time ranges: 1.75ms - 100ms; 8.7ms - 500ms and 52ms - 3000ms which means you can create effects ranging from chorus, flanger to echos. The first repeat in the left channel happens after 1/2 of the delay time; the first repeat on the right channel after a further 1/2 delay time - this is perfect for creating ping pong delay.
The Repeat Depth parameter controls the feedback level. Ath high settings you can create infinite delays, but take care of the level and distortion. Repeat Damping is a low pass filter in the feedback loop that will dampen each repeat which matches the behaviour of a real echo.
Usage with Eurorack:
Analogue Systems' modules are designed solely for use in cases and cabinets made by Analogue Systems. Through the use of adaptors or adaptor cables, however, it is possible to connect them to Eurorack cases.
Should you chose to use an Analogue Systems module in an Eurorack case, please note that the warranties are thus void and the use occurs at your own risk! If the module is plugged in incorrectly and therefore damaged the customer has to bear any costs for repair and shipping!
Because of the different position of the mounting holes there will be a gap of 0.5HP (= 2.5 mm) when mounting an Analogue Systems module next to a Eurorack module. Take this into consideration when planning your system. Gaps can be covered with 1.5HP wide blank panels by Doepfer.
The RS-390 requires a 5V operational voltage. Due to the high current draw on the 5V line we recommend the use of the MakeNoise 5V adaptor or the Volts by Mutable Instruments as thte Doepfer 5V adaptor is too weak.
