Select 2 is composed of two high-precision audio and CV processors. There are two signal inputs per channel. By default, the sockets on the left side of the front panel are active. Using gate signals, you can switch to the inputs located further to the right. The connectors are normalized to reference voltages of +5 V (left) and 0 V (right).
The input sections are followed by hold stages. As soon as rising edges are detected at the Hold sockets, the module freezes the voltage values currently present in the signal paths. Unlike conventional sample & hold or track & hold circuits, which often break down after a few seconds, Select 2 can remain in this state for several minutes.
Last but not least, both processing channels of the Select 2 module offer a bipolar attenuator with a control range from -1 (full inversion) to +1 (unity gain). Polarization can be deactivated via gate signals at the Unity inputs. Dual-color LEDs visualize the processors’ output voltages.
As long as you don’t use the output of processor A, its signal is added to output B. This makes it possible to offset, mix and transpose voltages.
