Each of the module's five channels is composed of a signal input, a bipolar attenuator, a DC offset section and an output. The level knobs can be set to values between -1 and +1. The offset generators add voltages ranging from 0 V to +5 V. In the absence of incoming material, the signal paths can be employed to generate control voltages.
As long as the user doesn't plug a cable into the output of a channel, it gets mixed with the next signal path. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to use the module in a multitude of configurations, for instance:
- One two-channel mixer and three attenuator channels
- One four-channel mixer and one attenuator channel
- One two-channel mixer and one three-channel mixer
Besides one output for each signal path, there is a mix socket plus level potentiometer. Here, users can tap off the sum of all channels.
