  5. Make Noise RxMx

Totally unique is the RxMx (pronounced RixMix) because it combines the organic behaviour of lopass gates with the characteristics of a six-channel mixer and these of a crossfader. The mixer is more a scanner with voltage control addressed selection and modulation of a lopass-gate-channel and/or the number of neighbor channels. "Pinging" creates the simulation of a reverb because of the inert Vactrols' slow decay.

  12. Make Noise - Contour

Contour is a classic ADSR envelope with some nifty additional features. Attack and sustain parameters feature dedicated potentiometers. Decay and release are controlled mutually via one knob. CV inputs allow users to modulate all time parameters. Contour’s curve shapes can be linear or exponential. – Or anything in between. EON and EOC connectors emit a trigger signal after the attack respectively the release phase is completed. For tapping envelope signals, there are a normal and an inverted output. Contour stands out due to fast response and intuitive operation. The module is a great choice for creating percussive sounds. By connecting the EON output to the gate input, Contour can be transformed into a LFO.

  30. Make Noise - Phonogene (v.372)

The Phonogene is a digital re-visioning and elaboration of the tape recorder as musical instrument, similar to a homonymous instrument by Pierre Schaeffer. although it´s not an emulation of this instrument it bases on the main ideas. It is informed by the worlds of Musique Concrète (where speed and direction variation were combined with creative tape splicing to pioneer new sounds) and Microsound (where computers allow for sound to be divided into pieces smaller then 1/10 of a second, and manipulated like sub-atomic particles). Having voltage control over every parameter, it is most successful as a digital audio buffer for the modular synthesist.

  31. Make Noise Pressure Points

Pressure Points is a controller in which one of four sets of each three tuned voltages are selected by touching the corresponding printed copper wire at the bottom of the instrument. Touching Pressure Points, you become part of the circuit. In addition to the tuned voltages, a gate signal (Gate OUT) and a control voltage proportional to the amount of pressure applied (Press OUT), are generated when the module is touched. Up to 4 of these modules may be chained together to create controllers of varying size and complexity. Each of the Gate and Press OUTS are normalized to their respective SUM BUS which is output at the last Gate and Press OUT in the Chain.

  40. Make Noise - DynaMix

DynaMix is a two-channel low-pass gate with clever level functions and an integrated mixer. Instead of vactrols, transistor circuits are used to control the integrated filters and VCAs. Thanks to this, the DynaMix responds much faster than the average low-pass gate. Its sound is comparatively hard, but nonetheless very musical. Level potentiometers at the inputs allow musicians to add soft distortion to incoming signals. Dynamic sections help creating side chain effects. A mixer combines not only the signals emitted by both low-pass gates, but ties-in other audio material as well.
